Started my second week of treatments Thursday with Chemo and Radiation.
All I do for Chemo is sit in a big leather recliner hooked up to an IV. While the nurse comes around and changes the bags when they empty, I sit and relax. I even took a one and a half hour nap. Afterwards I do not feel anything and am able to drive home.
That night I had a little insomnia (or was it the nap). In the morning I again felt dizzy and my blood pressure was all out of wack. A few hours after I take my blood pressure medicine I am pretty much back to normal and am able to drive to the Radiology Center.
No nausea but some constipation – will now remember to take prunes on Thursday nights.
The opening in my Esophagus is getting bigger. For the first time in weeks I am able to go through meals without having to deal with major blockages. I hope now that I stop losing weight. I bought a bag of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups to see if that would help.
All in all things are going better than I expected.
Hey Rich , Midge and I are hoping all continues to go well . You were wise to always stay in good shape , that will help you win this battle . Great idea to set up this page , regards to Jeannie and all family members. Nice to see everybody thoughts and wishes are with you. I was with complete agreement of Jessica’s comments regarding heath foods ,we all should follow her advice ….were not getting that from most of our Drs…..Rick
Thanks. And so true about healthy eating.
